Customer Service Representative

We are currently hiring for a Seasonal Customer Service role, January through June or July. This position has the potential to turn into a year-round role, depending on our needs and how you fit with the company.
In this role, you’ll be assisting homeschool families, co-ops, and private schools as they navigate the exciting milestone of graduation. You’ll be working with an experienced team that is dedicated to elevating homeschool graduations through excellent service and outstanding products.
To perform this job with excellence, you’ll need to be a confident communicator who pays attention to details and is proficient in typing and computer/web navigation as well as solving complex problems. You’ll be able to build on any experience you have as a homeschool student, home educator, or co-op leader, and utilize any secretarial, administrative, or customer service skills you’ve developed in previous roles.

Position Details
Compensation Range:
- $15-17 per hour (seasonal starting wage)
- $17-$19 (year-round employee)
Seasonal Benefits:
- SIMPLE IRA program; we match your IRA deferrals up to 3% of your wages.
- One week paid “vacation bonus” for the week of July 4th, when we are closed company-wide.
Year-Round Employee Benefits:
- SIMPLE IRA program; we match your IRA deferrals up to 3% of your wages.
- QSEHRA healthcare benefit: we reimburse up to $450 per month for qualifying medical expenses (including insurance premiums.)
- Two weeks paid “vacation bonus” for the weeks of Christmas and July 4th, when we are closed company-wide.
- Two weeks sick/personal leave per year.
- Potential to work some of your hours from home – particularly during the summer and fall – once you’ve gained enough experience to work independently.
Seasonal Hours:
- January through June, 15-20 hours/week (schedule can be somewhat flexible, depending on your needs).
- Potential to add some hours during our busiest months (usually April – June).
- We always hire with an eye to the future. Depending on our needs, and how you fit with the company, there may be opportunity for further work after the busy season.
Year-Round Hours:
- 18-24 hours/week during the Pre-Busy Season (January – March)
- 30-40 hours/week during peak Busy Season (April – June)
- 8-16 hours/week during the Off Season (July – December)
- We are open Monday – Friday in the Busy Season (January – June), and Monday – Thursday in the Off Season (July – December).
Location:
- This is an in-office role, though year-round employees may eventually gain the ability to work from home for a limited amount of hours per week.
